About Us

My name is Sapphire Star (he/fae). I exist as a trans-Agender, Black multiracial, queer person, artist, and healer currently residing in Chicago.

My goal as a healing practitioner is to create safer spaces for us to tap into the tender parts of our selves, first and foremost to care for ourselves, with the ultimate goal to foster true communities.

My healing practice intimately invokes the depth of experiences that tends to be called the shadow, the dark, while orienting us towards the cultivation of our own authentic light. My perspective as a healer stems from my own lived experience of protecting and rekindling my authentic light and power amidst compounding trauma, deception, and abuse.

My capacity for a deeply compassionate approach in my work stems from intimate familiarity with depression, anxiety, isolation, addiction, and being ostracized for things outside our control such as disability, and different ways of being.

Experiencing an immense infraction of responsibility on both the interpersonal as well as systemic and collective levels, my body has grown accustomed to recognizing common abuse tactics. While this created a great amount of pain for me to heal from,

it also greatly enhanced my skills as a guide for the living who are interested in finding a way through the world that invokes Truth, justice, sustainability, love and care. I hope to be a faithful hand that holds you in the sweet cocoon of community care, grounding us in a sea of salt, rose, and star anise.

Over the years, I’ve learned how to wield knives skillfully, meticulously, and without extra brandishing that exhausts. I have been uniquely equipped to cut what needs to be removed, and cushion that which needs exponential amounts of care. We deserve to surrender, we deserve to be sweet, and we deserve to kill when threatened. This includes connections that are silencing and siphoning our energy in unbalanced and harmful ways.

May we be strong enough to be protected from that which harms us, and even more so from that which we desire that gains to threaten our growth and ability to live in right relationship with the earth. That is my prayer for our practice.

These days I am so often reminded that death is protection, protection is love, love is right relationship, and to move in right relationship is to commit to honoring our present truths and allowing the natural state of abundance and exponential care to spiral in, around, and through us. Folks of all experience levels are welcome, no judgment will be expended towards you or your endeavors. Our only goal is to be good together.
